I love this piece. and unfortantely will never get to see it as it was destoryed in a fire in 2004. The tent is a piece of art that makes the viewers take back initial thoughts.

when you first read the title of the work we are lead to believe it is about everyone she have ever slept with and as society leads us, we think this mean sex.

It is much more than that and details everyone she has ever slept besides and or been intimate with.

The viewer goes inside and instantly starts thinking and reflecting on those people who have come in and out of their lives. You’d have to lie down in the tent and look up at all the names. It’s a small intimate space, but there’s something very unstable about a tent, it’s not like the names are carved into stone. lack of permanence, though I guess to that the tent is partway to being a shelter in the way a house is, then these lovers were part way in being relationships or her life at that stage.
